The Face Behind The Fur: Kim + Erin


A lot can change in 10 years; the Internet, the latest marketing trends, the fate of an entire company.

That last part is where we’re focused. We’ve changed a great deal in the last 10 years, but two pieces of the Netwave puzzle have remained the same. Our awesome Executive Administrator Kim and rockstar Graphic Designer Erin are celebrating their 10th year of service at Netwave. So to commemorate, we’re bringing you a special, two-for-one edition of “The Face Behind the Fur”!

Meet Kim!

First up is Kim, our master planner of all things Netwave, from internal workings to annual traditions. Kim’s often the first to greet clients old and new, either on the phone or at their next office visit. Always positive and always in the know, here’s Kim:

What is your go-to fine dining restaurant?
I prefer casual over fine dining…honestly I can’t think of a ‘go–to’ fine dining restaurant.

Would you rather lounge at the beach or hike in a mountain?
Lounging at the beach for sure, but I have enjoyed a couple of great hikes in New Hampshire and California with my husband, who prefers the mountains.

What kind of music do you prefer to listen to in the car?
My car radio station is either set to Spectrum on SiriusXM or 90.5 The Night.

What workout makes you feel the best?
Zumba and Pilates! Zumba makes me feel like I just left a fun dance party, while at the same time I’m getting in a great workout. Pilates teaches me control, and gives me a chance to catch my breath and center myself.

Coffee is a morning ritual.

Favorite childhood memory?
The smell of Coppertone suntan lotion!

If you could have dinner with anyone in history, who would it be, where and what would you eat?
Elvis Presley at Graceland. Of course we would eat fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

Biggest fear(s)?
I do have a fear of heights to some degree.

Place you’d most like to visit?
Monaco to see a Formula One Race. I have to compromise.

Favorite cheese?
All of the above! I can’t think of one I don’t like.

Favorite pizza?
Kinchley’s in Ramsey NJ

Favorite TV show(s)?
Survivor…I have watched every season since the show started. For me, it’s an unpredictable puzzle!

What are you currently reading?
I just finished Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn

Where did you grow up?
Bay Head

Ideal breakfast joint on the weekend?
Hanging in my kitchen with my two girls and Chef Ron cooking us his Sunday omelet.

Thoughts on Deflategate?
To much media coverage!

Guilty pleasure?
Watching trashy TV…The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, and some of the mindless Bravo shows!!

What do you like about movies?
Getting lost in the story… it’s a chance to escape reality for a couple of hours.

What is the most exciting activity you did?
Riding an elephant at the Topsfield Fair in Massachusetts, Zip lining in the California Redwoods, and parasailing in Aruba!

What would you sing at karaoke night?
If I sang at Karaoke night, I would clear out the place. I can’t carry a tune for the life of me.

Have you ever had a nickname? What is it?
Kimmy and Timmy. Kimmy is my childhood nickname that some family and friends still use. Timmy is a long story!!

Furthest place you’ve ever visited.

What is your favorite city in the US and why?
Boston! It’s where I went to college, I met my husband there, and it’s just a “wicked awesome” city.

What is the best concert you’ve ever been to?
America at the “Garden State Art Center” in 1978…it was the very first concert I ever went to and it happened to be on my birthday.

What is your favorite beach on the Jersey Shore?
Karge St. in Bay Head.

Thoughts on life?
When nothing goes right, go left!

A 10-year veteran of multimedia and email campaigns, Erin is a Graphic Designer who knows how to help clients get creative and stay consistent. When she’s not tending to clients’ creative needs, there’s a good chance she’s tending to her two Boston Terriers! Learn more about Erin:

What workout makes you feel the best?
Bootcamp! Love the feeling of barely being able to move the next day.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Marine Biologist

If you could have dinner with anyone in history, who would it be, where and what would you eat?
Janis Joplin, salads I am pretty sure she would be a vegetarian if she were still alive.

Alcohol drink of choice?
Any good IPA

Favorite pizza?
Mushroom but it has to be the canned ones

Have you ever had a nickname? What is it?
I have 2. Nire (think about it) and Cookie. My cousin’s kids call me Cookie. She tried to get them to call me Cupcake but one day Cookie came out and it stuck.

What is your favorite font?

What is your favorite city in the US and why?
Charleston, it’s the south. So there is great historical buildings, amazing drinks, fabulous food and best of all the people they are all so nice.

What is the best concert you’ve ever been to?
Luke Bryan all 6 times, no kidding actually Roger Waters at PNC a million years ago.

What is your favorite beach on the Jersey Shore?
Island Beach State Park
