Netwave Interactive has enhanced its social networking department with some additions to our team.

Deborah Smith

Deb began employing email groups and online message boards as marketing and networking tools well before the term "Social Media" was ever conceived. Deborah runs a food blog Jersey Bites, which welcomes over 17,000 visitors a month. In April of 2008, she launched a private social network to serve the Nanny Industry called NannyIsland.com. It now has over 700 members and is the most successful networking platform in the Nanny industry. In December, she spearheaded the Blogging Out Hunger campaign for the Community FoodBank of New Jersey and enlisted over 120 bloggers from across the state to raise money and awareness on a one day "Blogburst." She actively markets Jersey Bites on her Twitter account @JerseyBites which currently has over 4,000 followers and Facebook Page with over 2,000 Fans. Deborah is constantly offering seminars and webinars that pertain directly to the social networking industry. Check out some of her upcoming meetings here. Jon Faronea

Jon has been using social media since the days of AOL and MySpace (sorry Tom). Being so comfortable and confident with the use of social media, and recognizing the lack of understanding many people had, he knew this was a great opportunity in marketing. Jon is our New Media Communications Manager and helps run various social media accounts for many of our clients across many industries. He is also the social media voice for NetWave Interactive. Using tools such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, blogs, and Foursquare, he is able to connect the brand with the consumer on an informal yet effective approach.
